From Dr. Michael “Chris” Lyons:
I tell all of my patients I value their time and money spent in my office as much as I would my own. We only prescribe treatment that is necessary and is going to provide the most value for the patient. That being said, treatment prescribed in our office is based on improving function and not just treating pain. Typically treatment is a series of visits over a 4-6 week period of time and not just one visit. Since care is based on improving function it takes frequent visits over a period of time to make any functional change to the human body. Much like going to the gym!
We always set goals for care and only continue to treat as long we are achieving the goals we set at the beginning of your care plan. If care is not meeting your expectations or failing to achieve the goals we set we will change your care plan or may make a referral to another specialist or order further diagnostic testing. We never treat for more than two weeks without results.
Many of the patients inquiring about care are obviously going to be concerned with the cost and since care is highly variable depending on the patient and their condition it is almost impossible to tell someone what it will cost without seeing them. This is one of the reasons we offer an initial free consultation. Once we determine the best course of care for you, a billing coordinator will verify your insurance coverage and estimate you TOTAL cost of treatment for the entire treatment plan up front. There will be no hidden costs or extras that won’t be discussed with you ahead of time.
We have many levels of care and treatment and it is probably more affordable than you may think. We offer cash plans along with payment plans and maintenance care plans that make care more affordable. Please call us to schedule a consultation and have one of our billing specialist review your options.
What should I expect?
Whether you are new to Chiropractic care or a seasoned veteran looking for a new Chriropractic Doctor, we feel you will be pleasantly surprised at the approach our physicians will take in addressing your issues and concerns. While Dr. Lyons maintains strong chiropractic beliefs personally, he views that Chiropractic is a profession and not just a treatment.
In taking this approach, Dr. Lyons will handle your care as chiropractic physicians and not just spinal care technicians. He often works closely with your family doctor, or medical specialist, and can make specific medical referrals or order diagnostic testing if need be in order to properly manage your condition, which may not always be spinal related.
Dr. Lyons will typically offer a consultation at no charge to determine if your case is something they can help with. If you’re coming to see him for the first time, you will want to bring any radiology reports or diagnostic testing you have had done. Expect to answer a wide variety of questions about your health history, personal history, exercise routine, diet, work activities and requirements and specific details about your condition. If your condition is something that he feels he can help you with be prepared for a comprehensive examination followed up with a detailed treatment plan specific to your needs. Our highly trained staff will review your benefits and what your financial obligations will be prior to beginning treatment.
