American College of Physicians Publishes Guidelines: Prescribing Narcotics

On February 14th, 2017 The American College of Physicians has published a new evidence-based clinical practice guideline encouraging primary care and medical physicians to seek the use of nonpharmacologic therapies for patients with low back pain. February 14, 2017:   New evidence-based clinical practice guidelines were published by the American College of Physicians encouraging medical physicians to seek the use of non-pharmacologic therapies for patients with acute, sub-acute and chronic low back pain.  These therapies include superficial heat, massage, acupuncture, and spinal manipulation. Due to a recent change in the Ohio State Chiropractic Board expanding the scope of Chiropractic practice, he looks to offer the service as an adjunct therapy to the many services he offers.
